well is it really true love?

So this happened while I was on a cruise I had this "one day boyfriend" he was like I never had a girlfriend before and I was like I never had a boyfriend before then he asked me to be his girlfriend, since it was the first time, it was wierd but I wanted the experience. I held his hands, thats as far as we got. My mom picked me up, I had to think about it during bed if thats what God really wanted me to do, so I never gone back and met him again cause I didn't think that was true love. I got home, and I regreted that I never talked to him again, I thought I could of got his address and we could of talked more, but for some reason I felt like I lost my "sanity" just by holding hands. And when we held hands I thought I'd feel something special but no. When I got home I asked my mom why do people hold hands, and I told her I felt nothing special. It's because they want to be close. Although I don't know what would of happened if I did go back and talk to him again, but it was God's will for me to not go back. Although I have been wanting a boyfriend. I have to learned that I don't need a boy to make me feel great. All I need is the love of Christ, and I need to love God, and when God places a boy in my life that he wants me to love, then he will let him stay in my life.

loved the post.... i was a shy girl in junior high school and high school and a late bloomer for sure. During that time, i always felt insecure about my body, and while all the other girls had boyfriends galore, i didn't. to this day - i believe that God knew when i would be ready to accept a boyfriend as a friend first and someone i could take my time getting to know. Holding hands is not a crime, and don't feel guilty - that said, trust your intuition and allow your gut to tell you when you're comfortable with something. YOU ARE RIGHT that you don't need a boy to define you - but God will lead you in the path you need to go, and someday will show you the man that's worthy of your love. Every relationship brings learning and growth and you need to pray for God's direction in helping you find your way. I smile thinking about the times i thought i knew what was right for me, and God very gently told me otherwise :) Continue your journey in Christ and i promise you, He will always love you unconditionally.

blessings to you!
