this is my goodbye

This is my good bye

I jump in the ocean to be grabbed by the seaweed and pulled into the waves
On the outside it appears heart aching but on the inside I’ve been saved
My tears blend in with the salt water and vanish in the air
My heart remains broken piece by piece I no longer have to share
I hit the bottom of the ocean and my eyes immediately shut
My mind body and soul are gone but my spirit has not been shut

Before I left I stuck it out with the waves
I had a decision to make and I chose to be saved
My heart was redeemed
My life I lost I n the waves my situations weren’t as bad as they seemed
Blood poured out of my veins for the last time
My mind set was sustained
The tears were no longer produced by experiencing pain
My heartbeat was steady, joy maintained

Up and down and side by side I freely let the waves lead my way
I went where I was directed never lead astray
In the ocean I never looked backed
Because I was worth more than the pain and suffering I left behind
It just took me a long time to see
A long time for me to find my own way
And hold on to the place I found it all ,just settle down and stay

My work is done here in the ocean new things await
It’s a difference between what they call destiny and fate
Fate lead me here to be with you
But my destiny calls I cant stay when I have other things to do

At the thought of being here today I lose my way and I begin to drown
And my heart races until it hits the ground
Then I realize I can’t hold on to what’s in the past
And good and bad days come to an end they don’t always last

I cut my journey short and get lost in the waves
Because I saved you now I’m the soul who needs to be saved

Darker than Usual
by: S'ambrosia

Hey girl,
This poem seems to be a bit darker than the stuff you usually write. Is it a recent poem or something from a while ago? When I started reading it, it instantly reminded me of Psalm 18. Have you read it? You should if you haven't. It's one of my favorites. You and David have a similar writing style;)
