Should I Read the Twilight Book?

Lately all my friends have been talking about the Twilight movie and books. At first, I was just like whatever. But then they started begging me to read it because they thought it was literally the best book ever. So I did a little research. Aside from the fact that it heavily involves vampires, which by itself is a little dark, I realized what the main cover and its quote is. "Forbidden fruit always tastes the best." Whoa! Red flag! Red flag! When I read this i was like what's up with that?

I also found out that Stephanie Meyers writes about Bella and Edward having sex in the 4th book. I also found out that they have a very sensual relationship and heavily kiss a lot.

Now I'm sorta thinking that since I was mature enough to check it out, maybe I'd be mature enough to at least start the book to just see if it's really that bad. But then there's another part of me that just doesn't want to get involved with it at all. Maybe I'll just love the book so much that I'll become obsessed with it and won't use my common sense. IDK! HELP!

don't think you should
by: cassandra

i don't think you should read it..i'm not into the series or the movie..never have been, never will be..one of my closest friends from back home is really into it and im surprised..but if you're having red flags go up like crazy, like you've described, then God's telling you that you don't need to read it..that it won't do you any good..in fact, like you said, you could become so engrossed in the whole series that you become obsessd..thats how satan works, he makes something look SOOOOOOO good, we get involved with it and learn that its not so good, but often times, its too late, and we become trapped..trust me, i know..you don't want to play around with this..return the book and just tell them that you don't have a good feeling about it and realized that just by looking at the cover, you realized that it goes against you Christian beliefs. if they're your true friends, they'll respect you and your beliefs.

I have read the books, and I don't see anything wrong with it. I honsetly believe if you don't start living like Twilight is better than God, it should be okay. I asked the same question when I started reading them. I'll give you the link to the website I found.
