my swimsuit over the past few years...

I have been wearing a one piece swimsuit almost my whole life until this year when my mom and I went shopping for a new swimsuit because mine were too old and worn out. We looked at one pieces but all we found were old women one pieces that went to low on the top for me. So we looked at two pieces with a longer top. All I found was a cute bottom...no top....(this was at Kohl's by the way)..then we looked at Academy and found a cool top that didn't match but it worked for me. (it was similar to a sports running top) My mom and I decided earlier that I was going to wear my sports shorts and tank top over my swimsuit. (I had been wearing a t-shirt and shorts before and we were comprising on our modesty standers, not a wise choice)
After swimming all summer with this outfit (tank top, and shorts over swimsuit) I felt more comfortable in it and enjoyed getting a tan. I have been struggling with some of my modesty lately and I came across your journal. I'm convicted that I have lowered myself to the worlds standards and I will strive this year to fix that. I think wearing surfer shorts will help me with that.
