letting go

ok, so lately God has been telling me to get rid of something, but i just cant..its nothing bad, but just something thats holding me back..what is it?its a pillow i made..why is it holding me back? b/c i made 1 for me and 1 for my ex-roommate..i had made her one b/c at the time, we were best friends, but not anymore just b/c of a lot of junk that happened during the last few weeks of school..im almost certain she's thrown her's out..but me, i just cant..i know that if i hold onto it, it wont change whats happened between us, especially since we're through, as in no longer friends, but i just cant let go of it i guess b/c im afraid that ill forget about all the good times we did have together..the friendship we had wasn't a healthy one, but it was just about the only one i really had, and now i realize that it wasnt b/c noone else wanted to be friends but b/c she convinced me that i didnt need anyone else..i now realize that i was becoming her..many times, i would hurt myself b/c of the way she and her best friend treated me, but i still held onto her as a friend, even though i had other friends...please i keep telling myself that as soon as i get another pillow made to replace this pillow, i'll get rid of it, but i have to doubt that i will..please just pray that God will give me the strength to do what i need to do

i have been going through what you have been going through lately

...letting go

i know that i dont let go of some of the things that God wants me to let go of then i know that some of those things could tear me apart deep down inside and i will right back where i started, which is lost and confused hurt and broken.

God really just wants you to let go and let him work in you and bless you with opportunities that you never even thought could ever happen to you

once you let that pillow go, you may feel as though you have also lost a big part of you but God will fill that emptiness with so much more happiness, joy, and peace if you will just turn ur situation over to him and trust him

i really do think that you should throw that pillow A.S.A.P.

i know that it may be hard but you cannot stay so connected to that pillow and the disfunctionful relationship that came along with it. your ex-roomate is not still thinking about the relationship that she had with you and i know she isnt bacause you already mentioned that she didnt respect you as a person
no excuses, dont even look back..throw that pillow away......itll be hard but worth it

He strengthens those who are weak

dear cassandra,
when God asks us to do anything, HE will give us the strength to do it too! so trust Him. He is your Father and dont you think HE would be more than willing to help you if you are having a problem with letting go.
considering the immense mercy HE has shown us in giving up His only Son to death on a cross so we could become His children, its not at all too much to ask that we give Him our everything---our bodies, our minds and our wills.
the Lord will help you!
