Is oral sex okay inside marriage?

by Amy

I come from a strong Christian background. So sex wasn't really ever a subject that was brought up frequently. I had to learn everything about sex from putting two and two together. Ever since I first heard of oral sex I was curious. Could I do it when I got married? I have asked a few people but nobody has given me an answer and I don't know anyone I trust that I could ask without the subject getting quickly changed. I looked in the Bible myself but was hopelessly lost on this subject. I love this website and I trust it 100%. Can someone please tell me? Is oral sex okay when it's inside a godly marriage?

not sure

Honestly, I think that's something you need to ask God about yourself. Seek His face, and He WILL give you the answer. But you have to be careful that you're listening to His voice if He doesn't give you the answer you desire. I was always taught that sex outside of marriage=sin, but sex inside of marriage=ok. In my opinion oral sex only came about as a way high school kids thought of to have sex but still try to maintain their virginity and avoid the consequences of pregnancy and STDs. However, sex is sex, and if you have sex it makes you no longer a virgin, no matter what kind it is. No, you can't get pregnant through oral sex, but you can still get STDs if you're not careful. So yeah, that's my little input. I'm sure that's way more than you wanted to hear, but that's what I felt God telling me to write.

1 Corinthians 7:2-5

"But since there is so much immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband. The husband should fulfil his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. The wife's body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband. In the same way, the husband's body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife. Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control."
1 Corinthians 7:2-5
I think that it is ok as long as both the husband & the wife are ok with the act.
