In need of Advice....

by Ruby-Jasmyne
(Vic, Australia)

So here is the thing;

-Im fourteen years old (fifteen in April)
-I attend youth group weekly as well as church
-My parents are not christian (there is nothing wrong with that)
-I go to a christian school
-Im a Christian

Right now you know some background information; here is my question:) I'm currently crushing on a boy who is seventeen, I have been for 6 months around abouts. He is not a christian as far as I know but he does also attend youth group with me. He comes from a non-christian family but his brother (one of my youth leaders) encourage him to come to youth group. He is pretty immature but in a funny kind of way. He likes to think of himself as 'a sex god'. he isn't actually but you know guys & how they like to think of themselves. We talk to each other a lot but when we do chat we normally talk about sex and other... great topics like that in a joking kind of way. Im not sure if this is actually good for me. I dont know if this is right for me and my faith. Any advice?

God's Daughter
by: Keza

Hi Ruby !
This is a great question and a great reason to ask for advice and I am so happy you turned here.
If you are talking about sex with him in a joking way or not this is not a good way to start this off. What normally happens is he wants to see if you are reacting to in a welcoming way or not. If you allow it he will keep on and possibly try to take it to another level and this then causes pressure. Normally when I feel like this where I do not understand or have to ask questions it is because I am uncertain and uncertain means confused.
God tells you in the BIBLE,God is not the author of confusion but a God of PEACE. 1 Cornithians 14:33. Hold on this this verse when you are feeling uneasy about a situation , normally it is Satan some where involved. Remember daughters of God hold His morals and standards HIGH and because they are His
morals and standards they are ours as well !

Love Always in Christ !

Good Question
by: Sabrina

That is a good question. But, to me it is like you don't want him to try and get into your head. Guys are like that. I am 15 almost 16 and most guys are like that but, if you are a christian. I personal wouldn't like try and get with him. Friends are fine and all but, don't let them get into your Christian walk with God.
