I need You

by Emily
(Fairfield, Texas)

How can it be?

That someone like You could love someone like me.
It's intoxicating, this feeling.
Like You're the river washing moss off the rocks.
You cleanse me, inside and out.
Like the wind sweeping dead leaves out of the trees.
You are purifying me.
When we connect, soul to soul, it creates supernatural electricity that surges through my body.
It takes away all the hurt.
And washes away the painful memories.
I am made new.
Only by You.
"In Jesus name, I pray"
I will soon, again, say,
"Amen"
