Dont be a clone!!
by: Kelly

I hate the pressure that teenage girls are under and the constant need to conform to the 'norm'
You said it yourself that you are happy with how you dress?? You dont need to dress as others do to feel as though you need to fit in! In truth the 'pretty' girls probably just feel as much pressure to keep up the trend!
Just wear what you feel happy confident and comfortable in.

style + me = happy

I agree with Kelly. Just wear what makes you happy, and pleases the LORD. Be confident in your own style, and let your confidence show!
Do you honestly think that keeping up with the latest trends will make you happy? There's nothing wrong with keeping up with trends, but you don't need to look like the proverbial "fashion plate". It only breeds greed.
I wear current clothing, but I also know how to tastefully mix in stuff from a few years ago. And I don't follow every trend. I just stick to my style, which is more of a classy-modern style, and it always looks me.
I know how it can get discuraging when you look at your friends and peers, and see them wearing the latest styles, but just keep in mind that you don't need to wear what came out yesterday to be happy with your style.

"Normal" is so over-rated.
by: Ali

Be different, be yourself, be who you think you are, instead of trying to fit in. Fitting in really doesn't pay off.
I mean, why would you dress the way your friends dress, instead of dressing the way YOU dress?

I tried trend clothing a few months ago, and hated it because it made me wish to be more and more like the other 'pretty people'. It wasn't me, and it gave me a lot of body-image trouble. Now that i'm back to wearing my flippy skirts, and rainbow jewlry, I feel much more sure of who I am.

Keep with your own style, stand out away from the trend, shine in your uniqueness. And above all, please the Lord with the clothes you wear. [:
