Being a teenager...

is hard...
Before, i was all about it. The Rebellion. Now...
Nothings the same. People are taking notice of how i keep to myself, don't gossip and start trouble like others. There's no one that i can relate to! They're all caught up in the world! They don't get why i don't talk on the phone anymore or lie. They all want to talk about sex and guys etc. Now, i'm catching myself doing the same thing. I feel like i can't face GOD cuz of all the bad things i've thought (still do sometimes) said and done. They say it's called "conviction". Like being guilty, i just don't feel like i'm forgiven when i'm around others who are so nasty and i think, "Man, i was like that one time!". One time i was so faithful, now i feel like a fake angel.

There is hope for you!

Okay so this took me a while to figure it out but there is a difference between conviction and guilt. Conviction says that this is wrong and you need to change. Guilt says that you're a screw up and there's no hope for you. When that happens know that it's not from God. That's a lie from Satan to try and keep you away from Jesus! Don't fall for the lie! God promises to forgive those who confess their sins. God does not lie.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9

Please do yourself a favor and look through the Bible for verses on forgiveness and repentance. (You can do an internet search on specific Bible verse topics)
CONVICTION IS GOOD GUILT IS NOT

Megan, I wholeheartedly agree with the first post. It's truly sage advice!
Precious, convicition is God's way of warning us when we're doing something, thinking something that does'mt please or honor Him.
It's His love that draws us to repentance, it's His love that enables us to rise each day to a brand new batch of mercy, His love that tells us "I've sent My Son to pay your price that by faith in Him, you could be free." Free from what? Guild, regrets, sin and shame.
Let me show you the difference. Peter sinned and when confronted, felt convicted then repented and went on with his life.
Judas sinned, felt guilty and killed himself. Satan would love for you to feel guilty and therefore unworthy to recieve God's love and forgiveness. Don't let him get away with that.
God loves you; it really is the truth. His mercies are renewed every morning, learn more about His great love for you Stacy to be transformed and renewed.
