Seek First His Kingdom
by: Sarah

"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
Matthew 6:33-34

God has blessed you with good friends, thank God for this friendship that He has given you and this boy. God is so good, He has already blessed you with many many other things.

Seek first His kingdom and His will, because that is the most important. We may think we know what we want, who we want to be with, what we want to do with our lives. But we are still human beings, we are still God's creation, and we cannot deny that our Heavenly Father knows us best and loves us best. So at some point we still need to bow before God and tell Him "Here God, take my life, I give it all to you, do what you wish with it." Just let go and let God take control of your situation.

I believe that if you follow God's word faithfully, He will continue to bless you, and He will provide a boy that He has already chosen for you. You don't have to worry that God will forget, or that He will miss you out, or that you are too small for God to think about. He loves you as His dear daughter, and will definitely provide for ALL your needs.

So my advice will be for you to continue to be friends with this boy, love him as you would a brother. If you love him with the love of Jesus, you will want him to be happy no matter who he is with. You will be happy when he is happy. Love is not possession or just fulfilling your own needs. Love is sacrifical and looks to meeting other peoples' needs.

Ponder about these verses:
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.Love never fails."
1 Corinthians 13:4-8

In Christ,
Sarah
