Daddy

by Ashley
(Canada)

Daddy, I'm 15 now.. I've known since I was 10. Why can't you accept me? Do you know what you have put me through? Cutting. I've been doing it since grade 8. It once gave me a sense of relief .. My emotions running out of my cuts. Scars there to remember the pain.. I'd cut over and over again. More than once in the same spot. But now, cutting does nothing. No more rush. No more emotions running out. I write now daddy. I write about all the shit you've doone to me. Wait till someone reads it. Wait till youre gone.. And when I'm succesful in life. You'll be sorry then won't you?

You can change it all
by: Tatiana

Dear Ashley,

I think there are a lot details missing in your post. I would advise you to speak with someone you can completely trust and try to get some help or counselling.

It is important for you to understand that the reason for any abusive relationship does not lay in a person who is abused. For example, if a father abuses his child morally or physically, it is more often, because he himself had been abused in the past.

Ashley, You are a wonderful, talented and beautiful girl just as you are (please don't think I say it to calm you, I can feel it what a person you are). The only missing parts you have to discover in yourself are courage, self-confidence and faith. These three qualities will help you to find your strong qualities and talents and help you live your life gracefully and successfully.

Do not continue thinking about yourself as a victim. And please stop hurting yourself - you deserve much more than this! Please understand that you can stop being a victim and master your own life. You have to begin loving yourself truly, simply because you are the creation of God, and you are born for a reason. When you love yourself for who you are, it becomes easier to love, help and understand others. It also gets easier to discover your life purpose and hidden talents in yourself.

There are so many books to read about it... Honestly, I don't know if it makes sense to mention them here.

Please do not stay in a vicious cirle.. Search for help - and you will find it.

If you want to say more or ask something, please do. I will respond to it.

Love.
