cutting and the pain

hi my name is corina and i am 13 year old and in the 8th grade i have been looking for way to stop the cutting but it is hard my friend said to stop and tried to make me stop but before long it became a habit. now it is a every day thing.


i feel better when i am done cutting but i feel bad when i look down at my arm and say why did i do this to myself and that makes it even hard to copy with the pain of cutting. for my all i want to do is sleep all the time because in my sleep no one is this and i am by myself the way i like it i have not have the inner power to stop myself or tell my mom i have to find away to stop this pain.

ok, so first of all, let me give you some advice based on my experience. don't try to stop ONLY b/c someone else is telling you to. you may stop for a short time, but chances are, you'll relapse back into it and you won't have the same desire to stop you once did. i know b/c that happened to me. my parents threatened to not let me go away to college last year if i didn't stop when they first found out. i stopped for a few months then went to school, and the first thing that went wrong, and my cutting got worse than ever..
second piece of advice--stop b/c YOU want to. you can do it!
third piece of advice--get God in the picture. i can speak from experience that you won't be able to FULLY stop if you don't have God in the picture.this is not just an emotional battle, but also a spiritual battle. with God, you can DO ALL THINGS! pray as much as you can about this. go to war with God's help against satan and the things that trigger you. freedom is possible, but ONLY with God's help. that is one thing i am truely convinced of.
