Confused in Love

I'm in love with someone, who doesn't feel the same way. But I really do have this strong feeling that he is the one, and there are a lot of sign that it is. I know 1 Corinthians 13:2 states Love is patient... Love is kind, and yes only 15 year old girl think she find her future husband, but how can you be patient with this feeling I'm having?

Take it from a single twenty-five year old who has had her fair share of crushes/ infatuations/ strong feelings in her life: Turn those feelings over to God. Don't dwell on them because they will drag you into fantasizing and placing your hope and values into things that are unsure and could cause you heartache and pain. The only way to guard your heart in times like this is to give it to God and ask Him to hold and protect it. In the meantime, search for His heart and seek to know what His will is for you right now.

When I was your age I used to feel the same way you do right now about a couple of guys... and even now that I'm older, I still find myself doing it sometimes. Every time that feeling creeps up though, I have to keep myself from over-spiritualizing and reasoning myself into believing I really have found "The One," and fix my thoughts on Christ. I'm still a virgin and still waiting for the one God will send my way, but I have learned not to get distracted along the way. I've met some very godly men in my life and wished that they could be mine, but God has a lot of things for me to do while I'm still single and if I lose my personal vision because I'm pining away for what could be, I might miss out. Just keep your eyes fixed on Christ, and I know you'll head the right direction.
