Caught up in the past.

Hi, my name is Rebeca and when I was younger I was teased about my weight. I struggled even being in a christian atmosphere. Girls would ask me if I had gotten pregnant because of how large my stomach had been.The teasing didn't have an effect on me until I reached high school. The things people said echo in my head currently.It's hard growing up in a world with people throwing things at you like if your not a size two your not pretty. If your face isn't thin your considered overweight. Now all I see when I look in the mirror is this chubby little girl. I am finally admitting that I have been having a problem with my body image. My friends say I am thin and beautiful but I just don't see what they see. I need advice and scripture please.

Genesis 1:27 God created man in his own image in the Image of God he created them.

God created you to be just the way you are. People seem to think that in order to be beautiful now you must be a size 0 but that is not true! It is more important to be beautiful on the inside. When your heart is right then you will start shining and soon physical appearance will be no longer important. I struggle with this too alot, but I have come to the realization that I am a beautiful creation that God made with his own two hands.. and I think that when we think about ourselves in a negative way that it makes God sad because he made us the way he wanted us.. and GOD DONT MAKE NO JUNK!!! You are BEAUTIFUL!!! Dont let anyone tell you different! God made you the way you are for HIS purpose! Keep reading your bible and growing with christ!! I will pray for you!! Please remember just how beautiful you are!! <3 your sister in Christ ~Pammy
