Broken Cup Story

My church Logo!

I recently watched Shelley's Broken Cup Story, And she said that when she used to have a crush, she wanted a little attention that day and she's are happy, then the next day she wants more! I feel totally the same way. I only see this kid I think is cute once or twice a week(Usually at church). And I can not stand it! He is one of those people who tells his friends ( friends that are boys) who he likes, and they always spill the beans so I know he likes me too. I always think of this website when I want attention and I be myself in christ... but it makes me feel like I am not really pretty any more. Is it OK to want attention, or should I just be myself in Christ?

Ok I TOTALLY understand how you feel. At my church there's cliques...a lot of them and I don't feel like I fit well into any of them. Sometimes, if i get lucky, a few friends from this one clique hang with me and I used to be in that clique so I get really unhappy sometimes wondering what I did wrong to get 'kicked out' of the clique. Anyway I don't think its a problem to want attention. But when it becomes the center of your life and all you think about is who will see you with this person or if people are looking at you then that can be a big distraction from living for God. God likes it when we enjoy ourselves and have fun with friends but he also wants us to remember that he's the one that you should want attention from and he can give it to just have to want it too. I try sometimes to remind myself (when no one is talking to me and ignoring me) that God cares about me. And if these guys don't want to hang with me it doesn't matter cuzz God wants to hang with me. I even like to imagine Jesus right next to me :) Hope this helped. I really do understand what you're talking about. Be yourself, don't ever try to be someone else. It never works. And about the guy you like? I'm sure you'll get to talk to him some time :)
Love your sis in Christ,
