body-conscious...

by Arlene
(Saudi Arabia)

Reading the comments here makes me realize that I should be thankful to what God has given me. I have small extremities, not proportion to my body and worse, I have bow legs also. It makes me conscious all the time especially when I wear shorts and skirts. Because of this, I never go out without wearing long pants. Like others, I am wishing also to have normal legs but knowing the fact that I couldn't change it all I can do is to look at the positive side of life. There are people born without legs or hands. Why should I complain? :)

Yes!
by: Heather

I think we all have one thing about our appearance that bothers us. For me, it's my eyes. I lost my right eye to cancer when I was only 2 years old. It's always bothered me that my face isn't perfectly symmetrical like other girls/women. However, I have been learning that it bothers me more than it bothers anyone else. Sure, a few people may notice, but for the most part, people don't remember me as the girl with the funny eyes, but for my personality. It's that true beauty thing. Sure, we may have physical quirks, but they don't make us who we are.
