i'm 14 and Ive been cutting myself for a really long time now and i cant seem to stop myself. i like the way i feel when i cut myself (relieved), but i know i shouldn't cut myself. i know exactly what happened to make me start cutting myself but my problem is that i cant stop it now.

hey girl, i can tell you why you feel so good after you cut. simple-endorphins-a "feel-good" chemical released in your brain to make you feel better, to relieve stress, or whatever the reason why you cut. there are other ways to release those endorphins. one way that i know of thats safe is excersising. when i get the urge to cut, situation allowing, i like to go for a run. i just run and run and run til i can't anymore then i just slow down and walk to i can breathe again and then run til i can't again, and just continue to repeat that cycle til i feel better. also, art and watching comedies are a good distraction. restored by love ministries--their forum speak don't bleed is AMAZING and has helped me a lot.
