Inner Outer Beauty....How Do You Spend Your Time and Money?

Here's a list comparing and contrasting the pros and cons of both:

World's Outer Beauty:

1.      Costs me time to get ready in the morning and to go shopping

2.      Costs me money for make-up, clothes, etc.

3.      Fades with time

4.      Common - fairly easy to obtain, there is always someone more attractive than me

5.      Focus is on myself - selfish

6.      Others may envy me and feel inferior

7.      Vanity is a sin (as well as pride, greed, seduction, materialism)

8.      It's easy to trust in my beauty instead of God

9.      Draws the attention of men and feeds into my other struggles

10.  Never satisfies (broken cup)  "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again" (John 4:13-14)

Inner Beauty:

1.      Costs me time to spend with God

2.      Costs nothing financially but will possibly cost me the approval of the world.

3.      Unfading

4.      Rare - difficult to obtain (in that you have to face the pain in your life and receive healing)

5.      Focus is on God

6.      Others are drawn to me

7.      It is great worth in God's sight.

10. Completely satisfies, drink the living water Jesus gives and you will never thist.  A spring of water welling up to eternal life.
