I'm 18 and I am so stunned how many Christians don't even consider the fact that dressing modestly goes swimming with you too. I don't understand why people think they have to practically get naked to go swimming. I have never worn a bikini because I have never been the body weight to do so. But I'm glad that I wasn't because I went through the same thought process as you did. It took christian camp for me to realize at 17 years old that modesty is important, especially when you go swimming. I normally wear a one peice, but now I wear dark blue, to the knees, water shorts, and a black tee shirt, and my one piece underneath. It works perfectly!!! :)
To add to your idea, instead of the Cami tee under your t-shirt, wear a one piece and wear a darker colored t-shirt over it and then your board shorts. :)
