Please tell me whats happening to me

by Amber
(Alabama)

Can someone tell me if I have an ED? I eat a diet bar for breakfast, no lunch, and a little dinner. Then I'll eat a sweet but feel extremely guilty. I also weigh myself constantly. I feel like I don't deserve to eat. I feel like I have to fake happiness, like I have to eat around people so they won't get suspicious. But I don't want to live this way, but whenever I try to stop, I'll get dangerously close to getting over my "weight plan" than I've developed & just get sucked back in. Can anyone help me? Please?

well, it sounds to me like you do have an ED, based on what i know..i've come extremely close before, and its hard to get out of(actually, i'm in that trap right now)..what i'd advice you to do is talk to a trusted adult, like a parent, youth pastor, pastor, favorite teacher, school counselor, or any other adult you trust who could get you help, or at least hold you accountable.

Thank You

Cassandra thank you so much for opening my eyes to what I was doing. I have recently attended winterjam and my eyes were open to what was really important. I opened up my heart to Jesus Christ and I am now a sister in Jesus Christ. Thank you for the support, even if it was only a little comment to you, it was eye opening to me!

congratulations!

First of all, i'd likd to say MAJOR CONGRATULATIONS AND WELCOME TO THE FAMILY OF GOD!!it's sooo good to have another sister in God's family! i just want to wrap my arms around you and give you a great big "I'm so happy for you" hug!
Next, i want to say that I'm glad your eyes were opened at winterjam! winterjam has done that to me too with my self-injury before. i do hope that you do at least find someone who you can talk to and at least keep you accountable. just know that no matter what this world says, no matter how hollywood or the world in general defines beauty, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL B/C GOD MADE YOU!
love ya girlie!

Praying for you!

Amber,
I just wanted to encourage you to keep battling as you are aware now and may begin tackling the issues that have to do with troubled eating. There is no one size fits all approach, but I know that with time, energy, God, and trusted adults, that taking each step in the journey with faith will produce in you a strength and new heart. I pray for you that you will continue to work toward health for your mind, body, and spirit.
In Him,
Julie
