I am a foster child and i have a foster sister who cuts herself. she has been through a lot and i wish i knew how to help her! sometimes i hate her, but i want to help her!!!

Sarah,
I'm glad to hear that you want to help your foster sister, even though she can be a pain to you sometimes. I know that God will honor you for putting her needs above your own and caring about her when she's hurting.

You need to tell your foster parents or caseworker so that they can help her. If the two of you don't have the best relationship, I wouldn't advise you to confront her about it because that might upset her even more! If that's not the case, you might consider asking her about why she's doing it. Just be sure to come to her in love and not accusatory or condescending.

Pray that God will show you how you can help her and love her through this period of her life when you pray for her. I'll be praying too.

i agree with what S'ambrosia said above.
i can tell you the best thing you can do for her if God's not in the picture, get Him in the picture. PRAY FOR HER! secondly, get someone involved, foster parents, caseworker, pastor, youth pastor, school counselor, ANYONE who can give her the kind of help she really does need. don't judge her, i know from personal experience that's about the worst thing you can do for her. just be there how she needs, that is if the two of you have a good relationship, and you don't think it'll cause things to get worse.
