me...

by Elyssa
(Missouri)

I'm 14 turning 15 in 2 months and I way 165 pounds and I am 5 foot 4 inches. My brothers call me fat... I know I'm overweight, they don't need to say it... I have been bullied since kindergarten I don't know why they bully me, I haven't done a single thing to them. I don't know if it'd about my weight-I've never been skinny, I'm big-boned- or the way I look-my hair's short, blond, and curly and I have blue-green eyes. Anyway, people say things that hurt me and having depression and anxiety doesn't help either.

I found out I was depressed and had anxiety since sometime last year. I take medicine everyday one once a day the other twice a day. I cry easily.
But the two things in the world that make me really happy are my 2 nephews, Jayce, 2 TURNING 3 October 18, and Jaxxon, 1, I love them a lot and I babysit them a lot but I don't care and I have awesome friends that help me too!!

My dad and mom say I'm beautiful but I never believe them.. probably should, seeing as it could help my self-esteem,I'm shy so I never had much...

Thanks for listing/ reading me blabber...

Where Happiness Comes From
by: Heather

Elyssa, I know what it is like to never be comfortable with your appearance. While I was always an average weight growing up, my best friend was crazy skinny and she use to make comments that made me feel fat. I don't think she meant to hurt me, she was just pointing out that I wasn't skinny like her. I think you are right on when you mentioned what makes you happy. I don't know a single girl or woman who is happy with her outer appearance. It's a losing battle. But we can be happy about other things, things that really matter in the long run. Friends, family, knowing that we are loved by God more than we could ever imagine. Thanks for taking a moment to share your heart with us. I know your original post was from a few years ago, but I want you to know that I am praying for you.
