Why I'm not good enough..,

by Hannah

When I get anything below 100 on a test...

I'm not good enough.

When my acne shows through my heavy makeup...
I'm not good enough.

When my face gets greasy even before lunch...
I'm not good enough.

When I bite down my nails to the beds...
I'm not good enough

When my hair sticks up at the top...
I'm not good enough.

When my neck bone looks like an Adam's apple...
I'm not good enough.

When I rush home and see a white head...
I'm not good enough.

When my neck looks like a giraffe...
I'm not good enough.

When I get dry skin patches on my arms and face...
I'm not good enough.

When I have too many blackheads to count...
I'm not good enough.

Everything else that I'm not good at...
I'm not good enough.

Not good enough for what? For love. For admiration. For compliments. For anything. I am lost because I'm not pretty. My face is not like other's. It should be. It's not okay. I'm wrong. I'm weird. I'm ugly.

You ARE good enough!
by: Heather

Hannah, I want you to know that you are good enough!

When your face gets greasy (even before lunch)...
You are good enough.

When you bite down your nails to the beds...
You are good enough

When your hair sticks up at the top...
You are good enough.

When you think your neck bone looks like an Adam's apple...
You are good enough.

When you rush home and see a white head...
You are good enough.

When you think your neck looks like a giraffe...
You are good enough (and it really doesn't)

When you get dry skin patches on your arms and face...
You are good enough.

When you have too many blackheads to count...
You are good enough.

And for everything else that you think you're not good at...
You are still good enough.

You are good enough that you are more than enough! More than enough for what?
For love.
For admiration.
For compliments.
For anything.

You may feel lost because you can't see your beauty, but it's there. You may be going through some tough times and are unsatisfied with your appearance, but you are still more than enough. It is okay. You're not wrong. You were created by Christ. And you are beautiful in His eyes.

"The Lord your God is in your midst,
a mighty one who will save;
he will rejoice over you with gladness;
he will quiet you by his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing."
Zephaniah 3:17 (ESV)

And for everything you're not good at, remember that God knew we could never be perfect. And not one of us is good enough for God. That's why He sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for us. So we could have His goodness. So when you think you're not enough, remember that Jesus is enough for you.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 (ESV)
