What's wrong with me?

by Destiny
(U.S)

For years, i struggled with self esteem issues.. I'm a 14 year old girl going to public school with acne and weight problems. I'm a natural swimmer and i understand i don't look as much as i weight and the stupid infected red blotches on my face makes me want to run and hide. i can't talk to people.. i don't act like myself anymore.. i don't look at people in the eyes.. what's wrong with me?

all the girls at school are pretty, thin, and have boyfriends. i never been asked out nor have i had a boyfriend.. but all the other girls do and i feel so.....so...unwanted. so..like an outcast.. i've prayed and prayed..but i'm too deaf with wanting beauty i can't hear Gods words.. i don't know who i am anymore. i always wish i can be someone else other than me. i want to catch a guys attention.. and i can't. and i ask myself what's wrong with me? what is wrong with me that i can't even have a guy talk to me? what is it? is it my hair? my face? my personality? my body? what?

what's wrong with me?

God doesn't make junk
by: Melisa

Destiny, there is nothing wrong with you. You find it difficult to look others in the eyes because of what you think of yourself - Satan's blinded you into seeing a distrorted image, lies but look deeper until you see Christ. Let Him reign in you and let Him show you how to look past what you think you're seeing. I understand that it can be hard and sometimes painful to struggle with ance but you can't let that hold you back - be who you are and let the world see the beauty that lies beneth the surface. AND I can hear what God is saying to you, He's saying, "Child, you are such a beautiful treasure to Me, I love you so much and I don't judge how the world does. You must not compare yourself to others." He's also saying, "Destiny, dear, I do not make junk, you are MY masterpiece and I have great works for you, a plan and a purpose!"

It may take a little time but all great works do, keep turning to God, keeping praying to Him and you will begin to see your self confidence blossom, you will get motivated to get your weight isues under control by learning to eat healthy choices and excercise and often when you eat healthier your hair and skin reflect the healthiness too. And peolple will begin to just be drawn to you the more you let God and His glory shine through you, they'll want what you have not becasue of how you look but becasue of who you are on the inside.
