We're all too pesimistic

Hopeless girl crying
I believe people are blind to their own beauty. I have a friend who has the most beautifully natural black curls. She wakes up with them. What does she hate about her appearance? Her hair of course.
Another friend of mine has a chest which would have boys chasing her with their tongues out. What does she hate about her body? Her boobs of course.
Yet another friend of mine has these beautiful huge green eyes, golden hair, and long legs to die for. She hates her entire body enough to hide from a camera.
It appears we have a rather serious problem in our midst. Why is it we can find bad points about everything nowadays? My class and I were watching a video in R.E. today about children in northern england. Everytime we saw a knife in someone's hand, dangling feet, or someone looking at a wrist, we gasped. My teacher brought up an interesting point. This is what she said. "Isn't it strange how our expectations of suicide are so consistant nowadays?" This got me thinking.
I don't actually know if I have a point here. I'm babbling. Let me think about this for a second. I believe this day and age has got people nightmaring while they're awake. We expect the worst. We expect death... we expect the worst of opinions to be made of us... we expect our lives to crash and burn at any given moment. I believe this is why we try to make ourselves absolutely perfect.
Thank Goodness we have God! Eh, folks? At least we can trust he'll aim us in the correct direction and he never thinks badly of us.
Sorry for the depressing stating of obvious facts but I have no absolute conclusion. Apart from this: You have God. Be grateful and enjoy every happy moment he gives you. Work with what you have. Don't try to get what you weren't born with. At this moment and time, God has you right where you need to be.
I can't do anything about your bad expectations though... that's just basic human instinct for you.
Over and out. xoxox
