The "Not Skinny" Girl

by Jada
(TN)

I've always thought that you had to look like a Barbie Doll, but I'm totally wrong!

I don't need to look like a beautiful Barbie with long hair. I guess I have a problem with being jealous of skinny girls, but it's because I'm tall and a bigger size. I'm only 11 and wear a 6 in junior and my friends wear kids sizes. I guess I'm feeling left out, but I know its how God made me... and the worst part about it is that boys call me lots of names like fat or bad words and my crush follows his friends.

You are Loved without Measure
by: Heather

Sweet Jada, my heart is breaking for what you must be feeling. Name calling is always the worst. When I was in school we did the little chant about sticks and stones may break our bones, but words will never hurt us... but we all knew it was a lie. Words hurt. They damage us emotionally. They hurt our hearts. But, words also have the power to heal. To restore. So today, I want you to know that you are loved just the way you are. Some of the most beautiful women I know are considered significantly overweight by the worlds standards, but it isn't the size of their bodies that matter, but the size of their hearts. Stick with God girl, and He will help your true beauty shine.

by: Anonymous

I know what it is like to have friends that are skinnier than you but always remember to be yourself there is no one like you.
