The Devil Wanted me on his side

by Lauren
(Olive Branch)

Hi I am a young ambitious, passionate young lady. I have an amazing personality & I love Jesus! I now have a amazing relationship with God! I can honestly tell you that the road hasn't been easy!! It's been very hard, I've dealt with a lot privately and publicly! I've shed a lot of tears and been depressed and spiritually stressed! My job had took toll on me and so did school BUT God was testing me even when I couldn't see it! There were so many times when I felt like throwing in the towel, just GIVING UP! I had been in a relationship with a guy since high school and he hurt me so bad and I despised him for that! I was trying to date men in my own strength not that I was even sexually active! I just felt the need to have a companion a boyfriend so I thought o could do it on my own...guys weren't working out for me so the devil tried to "convince" me to talk to a lady..& that was the worst ever.. I craved attention I thought that was what I wanted but GOD slowly bit surely showed me that I was headed down the wrong road... I thought I could never let her go.., but I'm here to say that I don't want a woman the DEVIL is a liar!!! I'm getting my self together & trusting god and putting him first!! I'm loving God & myself first & I'm waiting for God to send me my HUSBAND!!! Glory to his name!! Hallelujah!!!

Thank you for sharing Lauren, I’m glad to hear you have found strength in Christ & have began to turn things around for yourself & have gotten your feet on a path to righteousness. It’s good to also see your wiliness to wait patiently for the Lord to bring you the right husband. I’m praying for you to continue to keep your eyes fixed on Him & to seek 1st His kingdom & His righteousness, (Matthew 6:33). May I encourage as well to suit up in the ‘Full Armor of God’ each morning before the devil has a chance to gain a foothold in your day. (Ephesians 6:10-18)

“But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:7-9
