Salvation seeker

by Gloria
(Nairobi)

I am 11 years old. Last year I prayed to God to save and i repented. But i think i didn't do it right. I'd didn't feel like I was saved. I go to a school where kids are doing immoral and bad things. I got influenced and did the same. I want to come to the Lord and be saved. But i don't feel like I fully trust Jesus. I really want to be a part of His family. I don't know whether I'll be saved or if i was just astray and need to come back to Him. Please help me receive Him.

SAVED
by: Sarah

Gloria,
Once you accept Jesus into your heart, you are saved. You CANNOT lose your salvation. But when you ask Jesus in your heart, you have to MEAN it. Last year, did you feel His love once you asked Him? Did you feel His forgiveness of your sins?
I still struggle trusting God. I've been saved for two years and I'm 15. Its hard, and it doesn't get any easier.
Being influenced by others is a struggle for everyone. But before you give into temptation, remember what Jesus did on that cross for you.
I'm happy that youre looking for answers. God wants you to come to Him, Gloria, desperatly. Pray to Him with your heart open to listening to what He has to say. Read your bible. I suggest reading a Psalm a day. Pslams gave and still gives me encouragement.
Love, a sister in Christ

gloria if you asked God into ur heart you are saved! as long as you ment it, you cant ask God into you hart wrong. i think its ok that you sometimes dont feel like you are fully trusting Jesus as long as you try your best and when you fail to trust Him ask for forgivness. its something that you will just have to work on. i have been a Christian for a long time and sometimes i still have trouble trusting completely in Him. its hard but with His help we can trust in Him Completely!

Hey

Gloria, hi. I can understand what your thinking. When I got saved I didn't feel too much a of a difference but I KNOW i did it right and if you keep trying to obey God...alot of great things can happen. sometimes we don't relize that good things have come into our lives because we don't really look for them. I've thought that way before.
