Purity

by Stephanie
(MN)

Please intercede for strength and determination to be pure. Lust has been a stronghold in my life and I sense the LORD wants a battle to be waged against it; to refine me through the power of His holiness. Thank you for praying! Also, that I would be more quick to listen and slower to speak; speaking words in season that give grace to the hearers. Thank you!

Stand Strong!
by: Tina

Of course I will be praying for you! When there is a spiritual battle going on, you know that a victorious outcome will be worth the fight. :)

I've left this quote from Elisabeth Elliot on one of the other posts, but I feel like it might help you as well.
“Purity, I fear, has gotten mixed up in people’s minds with “Puritanism,” which, in the popular imagination, is a dour, brittle revolt against all the pleasures of the flesh. The concept of purity does not deny life. Rather, it refers back to the very Giver of Life Himself. Purity means freedom from contamination, from anything that would spoil the taste or the pleasure, reduce the power, or in any way adulterate what the thing was meant to be. It means cleanness, clearness - no additives, nothing artificial - in other words, “all natural,” in the sense in which the Original Designer designed it to be.”

And here, also, is the scripture for the armor of God. I'm attempting to get into the habit to read it every day, to sort of put it on myself. Just started this a day or so ago.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore,

* having girded your waist with truth,
* having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and
* having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
* above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
* And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints — and for me... (Ephesians 6:10-20 NKJV)

So with prayers and the strength of the Lord, I believe that your battle will be won! :) God Bless!

Put your Faith in Him
by: Dynielle

The hardest battles to win are the battles of the mind. But the Holy Spirit within you is stronger than any temptation that comes your way. The bible says that if you resist the devil, HE WILL FLEE FROM YOU!(James4:7) Your brain needs to be trained, and like any muscle, the more you resist Satan, the more it will become a reflex action when you are tempted. Every women's battle is a book that you may want to read.
Will keep you in my prayers!
