My sister who is suffering

by Sarah
(New York)

My best friend Emmarose is suffering from anorexia. She just got admitted to a hospital so they're going to monitor her. Her parents are telling me that she's in denial and that she is depressed. For years she has always made little comments about weight. I feel like it's my fault. I should've seen it coming. Her mother just lost a lot of weight and I guess she was also influenced by her mother. So, she started to work out and she wouldn't eat as much. She isn't exactly NOT eating, she's just picking at her food. I want her to be better. She is fighter and I feel as though she is giving up. Please, if you have any advise tell me. She is like a sister to me and each day I feel as though I'm losing her bit by bit. Please help me.

Thanks,
Sarah

God never fails
by: Ocean Ana

Hey Sarah,

The only advice I can give you is to never lose faith on your friend Emmarose. Neve give up hope on her and flood her with true love which is in Jesus Christ.

Every day pray for her, get on your knees and cry out to our awesome wonderful Father, who loves us. Get stronger and draw near to God, feed your spirit in him read the bible, and you shall be filled with his love.

And our prayers never return void to him, meaning whatever we pray to him about him about it never goes to him un-heard. Sometimes we pray for things, and they don't end up happening. God has different timing and his timing isn't like ours. But be re-assured that he is watching over your friend and she is in his hands.

Like he is also carrying you and he wants to use you to help her.

"Surely he (Jesus) took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows,...by his wounds we ARE healed." (Isaiah 53:4-5)

Jesus is hearing you, and he will give you the strength and the love to go through this, because you can't do it alone. I will be praying for you and your friend Emmarose. God is going to work everything fine.

"Whatsoever you shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you." (John 16:23)

"What THINGS soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them." (Mark 11:24)

Hi Sarah,

The good thing now is that she is in hospital and the doctors are monitoring her and her food intake. Therefore what you need to do is to always be there for her, it can be very hard, the illness can grip someone and change her but at heart she is still your friend who is, underneath her disorder, going to be very vunerable. You need to support her by being there and letting her know that she can always rely on you,

It sounds like you will be there for her

All the best
