my future boyfriend on the way??

by Sydni Lundy
(Gainesville, Florida)

Okay im confused. I'm kinda attracted to these two boys who go to my church but I dont want either of them, at least I dont think so. I feel weird when I'm around the two of them. We've never even talked but they know I exist.

I do have faith that my prince charming will come some day, hopefully this school year. Anyway, as much faith as I have, it's hard to believe all the way that he is coming. So please pray that he will come soon. Thanks.

The question isn't whether he's coming soon or not, the question is if you're going to trust God to take care of you. Sometimes it's really hard to trust God, esp. if you want something really badly! I know how you feel, I've been single for what seems like a long time. I know that God has marriage in store for me, but through the past year I have learned that I need to let God take control. In other words letting God do things His way as opposed to how I think things should go. The idea of waiting on God can be scary since we don't know when or how things are going to turn out. But I promise that God's timing is always perfect, and he has your best interest in mind! Here's a few verses that helped me out. I hope that they help you too.

Trust in the lord with all your heart and lean not into your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

Blessed is the man that trusts in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreads out her roots by the river, and shall not see when the heat comes, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. Jeremiah 17: 7-8

Do Not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with Thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which trancends all understanding will guard your heart in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
(I know the last verse was used to talk about God's patience with sinners but it also shows that God does things in His timing, not mans')

As for your situation with the guys, ask God for wisdom on how to deal with this area. I'll be praying for you! :)

Don't stress

I spent so many years wanting God to give me my prince charming and was so desperate for someone that I settled for the wrong person. God had my perfect mate already waiting, but I didn't care about His timing, because I wanted a boyfriend more than I wanted a relationship with God.

Try not to put a time limit on God, His timing is perfect and at the right time, you will meet someone who God chose for you. God is sovereign and in control. Let go of your plans and trust Him to do His best in your life.

We all fall for many people when we're young and think that they are the one, just be patient and pray that God will protect your heart and give you wisdom when choosing a mate.

I pray that God gives you joy with a relationship with Him first, and that you will enjoy your single years too.I also pray that He will bless you with a loving, Godly man who will cover you with love, will cherish and support you and will be a strong leader of your home. I pray this in the glorious name of Jesus!

Thank God for your future husband, and then lay all your cares at His feet, for He cares for you!
