Modesty

I was wondering what some of your thoughts are on skirts vs pants. I prefer to wear skirts, but now I don't feel as strong in my modesty convictions. I was wondering what other peoples opinions were on this topic. :)

I also prefer skirts. I don't think that all pants are immodest, nor are all skirts modest. I think that whatever you decide to wear you should choose to wear something that is pleasing to the Lord and not wear it to cause others to lust after you.

Society today accepts women wearing pants as ok. It was not so about 30 years ago. Women began wearing pants to symbolize their equality to man. This was part of the femenist movement. Pants were, up until that point, male only clothes.

Today, it is very common to see females with pants. I used to wear pants until I realized two things: 1. It exposed my front and back parts to men and boys and were immodest. Pants are known to show off a woman's curves and can be a distraction to the opposite sex. So, I wanted to see what the bible says.

This brings me to reason 2:Deuteronomy 22:5
"The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God."

If you are questioning skirts vs pants, it seems like God is at work within you :)
