Jeweled eyes in the night sky

by Natalie
(Sacramento, California)

I throw my deepest cares right out into the dark night air

Where the silent reverence of the still night
Seems to listen through it's jeweled sight
Spreading across the whole of the vast darkness in complete, utter beauty
When I look at what you've created
I can not help but wonder
How much more beautiful the place you have for me is
Where I will go eventually it can not be more beautiful than this
But, that's the thing, it is
It is so much beautiful
Where I will someday go
But until I do
I will never know
Or be able to comprehend or understand it completely
It will remain one of life's mysteries
For me to ponder and wonder, and gaze at the stars
Wondering about the day I will finally be where you are
and although it may seem that that day is as far as the stars
It's closer to me than I realize
Until that day I will come home
I will stare into your jeweled eyes That lie in the deep blue night sky
