It's winter and I'm bored - what can I do?

I am going through a tough time in life right now. Since it's winter i can't go outside much so i get bored, my friends can't always get together, and I don't quite know how to stay active. What should i do?...Thanks for the help

I know winter does tend to be a hard time to know what to do when you have to be inside. My husband hands out bookmarks with 101 things to do other than veg out in front of electronic media. There are a lot of ideas for things you can do and it may spark an idea of something else that isn't even on that list. You can read the entire list here: http://www.mediatalk101.org/bookmark.html

Do you enjoy writing at all? I'm always looking for teen girls that would like to write articles/stories for my website to help encourage other girls to find their true beauty. This is something else you could do with some of your time if you would be interested? If so, let me know!

Here are some verses about "time"...

Ecclesiastes 3

A Time for Everything

1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:

2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,

3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,

4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,

5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,

6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,

7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,

8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace."

Since there are different times or seasons for different things in our lives, I would encourage you to ask God what he wants you to do with the extra time you have in your life right now. Maybe this will be a "season" for doing something different with your time!
