I started doing it in 8th grade i dont remember why, but by a year later i started writing in a journal when i wanted to cut, by writing in the journal it helped me cut less and less. I still self harm but i think by writing your feelings down it helps. <3

Sounds like you are on the road to recovery. Just a suggestion, I like to write as well. I started a prayer book. I wrote my prayers down and then I would go back after months and was really surprised at how many of the prayers were answered. I pray that the self harm end all together for you.
