How do I tell her??

by Talyah
(U.S.A)

I have a friend at school who always tells me and my best friend that she feels empty inside. I think it might be because she isn't a Christian, but I'm too shy to tell her about God. What should I do? I know that I should talk to her about God and Jesus, because I want her to become a Christian. At school the other day, when she told me that she felt empty, I felt the impulse to tell her about Jesus, but I clammed up. She looked really sad, and I really wanted to tell her. But I just couldn't bring myself to tell her...

Now, I probably could tell her about God. Because I know some of Kid's Evangelism Explosion, and the basics of bringing someone to Christ, like the questions and all the Bible verses. But whenever I have a chance, its like my brain freezes and I can't remember anything.

What should I do?

You can do it Talyah

Talyah, talk to your friend about your Friend. Tell her what Jesus means to you, how He comforts you and gives you strength and hope.

Perhaps your "brain freezes" because scriptures are not what your friend needs right now. There are many instances in the Bible where people told others about Jesus in their own way. Remember the newly sighted man "once I was blind, now I see" or how about the young woman at the well, "come see a man" even Peter simply said, "this is that" and Paul said, "I didn't come to you with enticing words but with simplicity".

I say all of that Talyah to simply say, talk to your friend in your own way about the LORD. But before you do, ask for the LORD's leading and direction. Ask Him to help you reach her. It's no coincidence that you are her friend; now be one dear and talk to her. You can do it precious, you're going to do just fine.

Keep us posted, just think how awesome it is to be used by God!

On the right track..

You are on the right track so far, especially asking for help! I know its really nerve-wracking to tell someone about Jesus. I think we're all pretty afraid of rejection.

How about going about this another way? Do you attend youth services at your church? Do you think she would enjoy them? Maybe when she says she feels empty you could invite her along.

I hope this helped!

My dad just got a shipment of Jack Chick Tracts. I went to give one to my friend, and she looked at the cover and gave it back and left. Now what do I do?
