God Speaks

Hello! This is a poem I wrote around the time I wasn't really giving God the time of day and going days without reading His word. So I was thinking of what God may have to say about me not giving Him much priority in my life and this is how it went...





How could you leave Me behind?
Don't you want to take Me with you?
Do I even matter to you?

Why does it seem you have forgotten all about Me?
Do you even care about Me anymore?

Why can't you see that I really do miss you?
That I really do love you?

I know that its hard,
that you work really hard,
but its all out of vain.
Do you remember I can take away the pain?

I do really miss you, really love you.
Won't you just talk to Me?
How is life without Me anymore?

You're so right Shealan, sometimes we forget how important it is to maintain intimacy with the Father. Life's distractions is a tool the enemy uses to veer us off to doing things our own way in our own strength. It is vanity but o what a blessing that He would cause us to hear His still small voice in the depth of our being wooing us back to Him.
