God Is My Friend!!!

At the tender age of 14, I came into a relationship with Jesus Christ. Although I came from a traditional Baptist background and basically grew up in Church, I didn't quite understand the Love Of God and the greatest gift that can be given to us, whom is His Son Jesus Christ. I would hear the preacher talk about Him and in many instances I even felt as if God couldn't be my friend or that He wasn't approachable. It wasn't until I partnered up with teens who were hungry for a relationship with God, and of course they knew much more than me about Him at the time made things much better. Not one of us were perfect and that's what I believed I had to be to come to do so. I thought and a time or two was also taught that God was ready to punish me for my faults. It is true that we suffer the consequences when WE make the wrong choices. However God isn't watching, hoping to punish us, He's there loving us beyond our faults. Need proof? Well, aren't you still alive and breathing? He still blesses us with life regardless. Now tell me, does this sounds like an angry God that doesn't desire a relationship with you? Does this sounds like a God who's waiting and wanting you to fail? Or does this sound like a mean God? God wants you to experience the very best life there is possible, that's a big reason why he created you!!!

It doesn't matter what your background is or what you've done last night or just a minute ago. God reallllly desires a relationship with us through His Son Jesus Christ, who innocently and willingly took on our sins and died for all of humanity. As soon as I found this to be truth, I had no problem with giving my life back to Him at the age of 14. Because of this decision which has been the best decision, I had the strengh to withstand many temptations and situations that teens face today.

GOD LOVES YOU no matter if you feel differently or someone may have told you different. He wants to be your very best friend. He's Calling will you answer? He promises that you won't regret it if you answer His Call.
