Get Out of the Shadows, Girls!

People are too beautiful. That's what I'm always thinking to myself. I'll be sitting in my class room and talking to my friends when really on the inside I'm examining them. I'm wondering how they manage to get their hair to do that. How can they have eyeliner on without looking doped? How can they have such perfect skin?
But this morning, I stopped myself. I realized what I was doing. I looked into my friend's eyes and I saw her judgment cloud them. As I looked around each pair of eyes, I saw that exact judgment in their irises.
So yeah, it's all fine and dandy if you're examining the good points of someone's appearance. It's when you start to try to find the flaws in their looks to make yourself feel better there becomes a problem. You'll look for a blemish, a stray hair, anything to ruin their perfection and you'll magnify it to turn it ugly.
Negative image, my friends, it's what made image the way it is. We all struggle to be absolutely perfect. It's such a shame our attempts are pointless. No image is perfect. You'll always find something you don't like about you. It's the way us girls think.
So next time you find yourself looking for imperfections, stop yourself. You're as perfect as they are. You are you and they are them. If God wanted us to be the same, he would have made it that way, wouldn't he?
You are beautiful. You just need to stop living in their shadows. Create your own shadow.
