does god turn me down?

by jennifer

I feel really horrible about myself first of all i feel like people constantly ignore me at school. i don't talk to people that much because i don't trust them, except for my cousins who i can call them a true friend. everytime i try to ask for help from God, but i don't feel like the weights been lift of my shoulders yet, except when i'm with my cousins. i feel so lost and alone, nothing really helps. Do you think you could give me a pep talk or something, anything will do.

the strength is allready inside you
by: kelly

I hate to see someone as young as yourself going through such pain and anguish, this is a stage in your life where you should be young and care free.
Sadly god doesent work in that way sweetheart there is no magic wand, but what he will do is give you the strength to face your problems head on.
If people at school ignore you,its probablly because their as afraid to approach you,as you are them, open yourself up to new people, start simply by smiling at someone,or maybe saying hello whats the worst that could happen?

Friend of God

All the pep talks in the world will only give you a temporary joy, hon. You want to know where lasting joy comes from? It comes from knowing how much God truly loves you and by trusting that His love is enough. King David, in the Bible, was called a man after God's heart, so he knew a pretty good deal about God's desires. In Psalm 27:10 he says, "Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me." David knew that even if the people who were supposed to care more about him than any friend on this planet turned their backs on him, God would still be there. God is ALWAYS there! I would encourage you to look for friendship with God first, instead of people. Get into your Bible and find out how much He really loves you (Psalm 139 is a good place to start) and spend some time alone with Him. Once you become more secure in your identity in Christ, people will definitely notice you. Then, instead of looking to others to be your friend, they'll look to you!

I know the feeling...
by: cameo

hey i know the feeling, i been there too.
Through these times its always important to remember Gods always there, whether you realise it or not. Whether its walking into school, saying hi to someone or even smiling God will help you. Its also something to consider that sometimes (quite often actually!) things arent always as we think or feel. At these low times in our life i find we often focus completely on ourselves and how we're feeling, so i decided to try something different to take my mind off my overwhelming feelings - i focused on other people alittle more, whether it was something small like an encouraging comment to a friend/family member or blessing somebody with a gift, and i tell you it really works! It helped me feel alot better about myself. Another thing is maybe find a person who can be like a mentor maybe in your church or youth group, someone you can trust who''l give you good God'ly advice, someone who will build you up and help you with yor walk. Its a thought :)

So a couple of things from me:
*Remember Gods always there and he'll help me through the day if i let him ('i can do all things through Christ who strengthens me')
*Reach out to someone, bless someone
*Find a mentor to help you with your walk.
