Beautiful
by: Anna :)

Hello :)

I stumbled across your prayer request. I am a 17 year old girl. Sometimes I feel exactly the way you do. I used to have an eating disorder, and do many terrible things to my body because I thought I had to try to look beautiful.

I tried and I tried and I tried! No matter how much weight I lost, or how good I thought, and people thought I looked. I always felt the same way. I can't see how you look through this computer screen, but jesus can :)

And believe me. He see's beautiful beyound compare. He sees a girl who shines brighter than treasure jewels, because that is what you are. Your precious. I swear it. I'm going to be praying for you.

Also I want you to check out this song

"More beautiful you" by Jonny diaz

God bless you.

Look in the mirror, for a long time. Tell me is there another girl out there in the whole WORLD that looks like you?! Nooo. And thats sooo beautiful :)

Remember; Beauty catches the eyes. But TRUE beauty captures the heart. There could never be a more beautful you!

Love youself
by: Miranda

To all of you who think your not pretty enough. You are. You know why? cause the Lord of all creation made you :) in His eyes you are beautiful. Beauty comes from within, Love youself just the way you are because the Lord made you wonderfully :)

Because he first loved you
by: Simi

Dear Elizabeth,

I can tell you now that your are not alone with your feelings, many of us have gone through or are still going through this denial of self acceptance. Wishing and hoping to look like someone else, be a particular size, body shape, speak a certain way, have more money..never happy with who we are or what we have.

I just want you to know that you are not to blame for feeling the way you do, however you are responsible for how you let it affect you, believe me when I say no matter how much money you have, or makeup you use or weight you lose the happiness you desire comes from God and within yourself, you have start with you; take a look at yourself and make that change.

You are wonderful and fearfully made in his image and likeness, whoever says you are ugly or fat should realise that we are ALL made in God's image and likeness so clearly they are missing the point.

Life is too short to worry about things you have no control over, enjoy everyday and thank God for what you have because there is someone else wishing they look like you..isn't it ironic? God bless you..if you need to talk some more you can contact me on similicious@hotmail.com

Perspective
by: S'ambrosia

I would encourage you to change your perspective! Try not to focus on the outward appearance, but let your inner beauty transform the way you see yourself as well as the way that others see you. Have you ever known someone that you didn't see as attractive at first start to get more and more attractive as you got to know them? That's because as you got to know them you began to see their inner beauty manifest itself in their outer appearance. I wasn't physically attracted to a guy I was talking to last summer, but the more we talked and learned his funny sense of humor and love for the things of God, this guy got cuter and cuter to me. It's crazy how that happens, but such good news right? You can waste a lot of time and money trying to buy beauty (i.e. makeup, cute hairstyles, wardrobe, etc.), but really all it takes to turn peoples' heads is inner beauty. I would encourage you to find out what those qualities are in you. Ask your friends, and maybe even your dad, to write down what they like about you. Write down what you like about yourself, and most importantly, ask God what He thinks of you. He's placed a unique beauty deep inside of you, and once you're able to fix your eyes on Him instead of people, that beauty will blossom inside of you and people will notice! Happy blooming:0)

Experience
by: Bing

I have been chubby since I was 7...I know it gets really tough when you start to get older...I'm 18...I get so depressed sometimes because this is suppose to be the highlight of my life, but I get over it because I know who I am, I would never want to alter myself. You should look within yourself and see all the wonderful things about yourself if you ever feel down about your weight. Your dad though, went through that also, they don't know what to say all the time, you have to forgive them, weight issues aren't always the biggest concerns in a mans life. Sweetie just remember how wonderful you are, if you always act yourself no one will ever notice, they will always see your inner beauty shining out!

Remember we are always here!!

Fearfully and Wonderfully made
by: Star_Marie

Elizabeth,
You are created by God and are wonderfully made! God loves you so much!

This world can be a cruel place, especially when it comes to how one looks. I have struggled with my own weight all of my life, and was teased a lot growing up. I too did not get a lot of support from my dad, as he often critized me as well.

As I have grown older I have grown to have more respect for myself and more self esteem. God loves me no matter what. One's outer appearance is not what makes us who we are.

God made you beautiful. One thing that has helped me is to learn to trust that God made me beautiful. I do also try and be healthy and take care of my body. It isn't always easy, I know. I still struggle with my weight and may always do so, but I know that God loves me just the same!

God loves us all the time! And He loves you. When you get the chance, read Psalm 139:)
