seek friendships
by: Lucy Mae

heyy girl. so here is what i suggest. i know sometimes its really HARD to be alone or to not have that "special" someone to lean on and get that comfort that you so desire. well, we all need a friend. NO DOUBT. but you can still seek new friendships, even if they're boys, but seek those friendships without the desire to have a boy friend. you are still young, and like you said, others your age are not really dating.. follow their example. i am telling you, i have been there, you're too young to completely figure out what you want in a man. when i was 13 i was in a serious relationship with this guy and it messed me up in the end. i ended up doing things that i truly regret but i know by the love and mercy of God.. i have been restored and renewed! since i have been there, i encourage you to find peace and comfort in your Heavenly Father; but most importantly, seek new friendships with the desire to help benefit and receive benefits from your brother/sister in Chrsit. have a blessed week beautiful girl!

Fellowship

I know how hard it is to desire someone special and have no one, but if it isn't God's time, no amount of looking will help. If anything it will only land you in a bad situation. My suggestion is to pray for God's will. Ask Him to help you be content, but also to bring someone that you can really talk to.

Just an FYI most boyfriends don't really listen. You can't really talk with them about anything. They take up time and make demands, but unless it's true love, it would probably just make things worse because you wouldn't have anyone to talk with about the heart ache it causes. Personally I would look for a best friend or a mentor that would be an encouragement and not a burden.
