Body Image and Anorexia

I'm the brunette on the left
I have bad body image, every says im tiny and beautiful but I just can't see it. I have turned to God to help me see my own beauty but I feel it's hopeless because I've been like this for 2 years. Last year I went through anorexia and I lost a lot of weight. I feel like I'm scared of food still even though now I'm not anorexic.
Is there a way to get over this feeling? Or am I gonna be cursed forever?

Jenna,
Thanks for writing me! I agree with your friends...you are beautiful :) God thinks so too, actually the bible says he is "enthralled with your beauty" (Psalm 45:11) but so many times it's so hard for us to see that beauty or accept ourselves the way others do.
I want you to know there is hope. There are many girls that could tell you their stories about overcoming their struggle with anorexia. I personally have struggled with other addictions and have seen the power of Christ to free me. Jesus came "to proclaim that captives will be released, that the oppressed will be set free!" Luke 4:18
Have you gotten counseling or talked to a school counselor, pastor or youth group leader? I've had counseling several times in my life for different reasons and it has been very helpful in my healing process and breaking free from addictive thoughts and behaviors.
The other thing I would recommend is the 60 day bible study called, "In His Image" which helps girls find freedom from anorexia and bulemia. I have taken their sexual purity course and found it very helpful and highly recommend their studies. The best part is that it's free!
