Barbie is unrealistic

(PA)

I once heard that if a life-size Barbie was created, it wouldn't even be able to stand up because it's body is so unnaturally proportioned!! (Disclaimer: I'm not sure if this is true or not.)

As a little girl, my parents never allowed me to have Barbies. (I'm 18 now.) I'm grateful they didn't. I and my sisters played with baby dolls.

If I had played with Barbies, would I feel differently about myself than I do? Only God knows. I am grateful that I can find my worth and fulfillment in Him. Because of Him I'm "happy in my own skin," though it's not anywhere close to "perfect." No I don't have a tanned, ultra-thin, busty body...but God loves me the way I am. I desire to let Him shine through me in the way I dress, the way I care for my body, my eating and exercise habits, and all of life.

Sisters, let's ditch the Barbies and her standards, and look to God!
