Barbie Collector in Illinois

by Janette
(IL)

I grew up with Barbie. I was born in 1963. I loved the way Barbie used to look, and do not like the new body style of Barbie that started in 2000. I will not even buy the newer ones, because I love the old body style.

old barbies
by: Alvaro

hello..
I found my mom's old barbie dolls, she told me to find a collector to at least find the value of each barbie...
I was doing some research and found out that maybe these barbies are a little bit newer.. they have this mattel 1966 phillipines tag and bent elbows..
except for one that says mattel inc. 1965 taiwan, doesn't show teeth but has bent elbows..
I also have a skipper i think straight arms 1967 phillipines, but missing an arm and clothes..
The one that i'm pretty sure is very old and authentic is Ken.. It has this tag on the right butt cheek, says Ken MCMLX by mattel... straight arms dark hair... basically it has the same face the 60's ken had based on my research... and it is dressed with purple tuxedo... I would really appreciate your help, my email valosdm@yahoo.com, if you want pictures i can send them...
