Anorexia Essay

I don't have anorexia nor do I have the ED, But I am self aware about my body image, I'm not to happy about it either.

I came across this site while doing my homework which envolves ED: Anorexia, Now to say the least I have few qustions about this ED.

Most of teenage girls in my school are thin, as though I can "almost" see thier bones, Same with my friends but they have high metabolism?

Anyhow, I would love to get some feed back and I hope this isn't too mean to type out, is it?

Self-image
by: Julie

Self-image is a tough thing, because we want to have peace about ourselves but in and of who we are it is pretty hard to see ourselves rightly..one thing that has been encouraging for me is to attempt to see myself the way God sees me: beautiful just the way He made me.
I know it is hard when you might be exposed to others who have eating problems. I have personally been influenced by my peers in this way, and I just pray and encourage you with the thought that finding others who are healthy and find other ways to spend their time rather than focusing on eating and weight. Remember God's promises. He will draw near to you and comfort you when you are unsure about yourself and may be going through trials. For some people, eating disorders are about the food and weight, but that is rare. Normally, it is an emotional response or distorted beliefs. I encourage you to find your truth and hope in God. I'll be praying for you.
