Advertising and Body Image

by Katie
(Macon, GA)

As a teenage girl, I do not think it is fair that the media portrays the "perfect image" of women. These edited pictures are beautiful, but that just isn't the way it is. Even the models don't look like this naturally. Sometimes it makes me wonder if they ever wish they could look like that in real life. This is crazy, but if somehow, the media used unedited, realistic pictures, then everyone might realize that people can be beautiful without covering up the way they look naturally.
