Adam & Eve, OR Adam & Steve?

by Alex

Growing up my family didn't go to church, pray at dinner, or any other Christian activites. I believe that homosexuality is perfectly fine. Most people I know say that it's nasty, disgusting, unexceptable...etc, but in my own opinion I believe that love is love.

In middle school I became friends with a boy whose gay, a boy whose bi & 3 bi girls...At first I was a little weary about it, but after a little bit I became perfectly fine with it.

I was confused about whether or not I was bi & after a little bit of experimenting I confirmed that I'm straight.

I'm not very religious, but I do know that the bible says God loves us for who we are. He probably intended on only having straight relationships, but personally I don't think that homosexuality is bad.

Homosexuality
by: Julie

Alex,
Thank you for sharing. I would encourage you to read Shelley's writings on the subject of homosexuality. Here's the address you can go to:

https://www.teen-beauty-tips.com/i-kissed-a-girl.html

I would also encourage you pray for wisdom on this subject.
You brought up two points: God's love for us all and that which still separates us from him.

There's a difference between God's love for a homosexual lifestyle and it still being something that separates us from Him, which we call sin. There are many people who try to debate the specifics of the Bible's views on it, however, it is my belief that if we are engaging in activity that is not the natural order of how God intended our lives to be lived, then it is sinful. That being said, one of the biggest things to take away from Shelley's article if you read it is that you are not alone in the struggle. None of us are alone in the struggles with sin that we have. And there are opportunities to ask for forgiveness and repent, but it is always up to the individual to make his or her own decisions.

I am thankful that you are sharing with us and I know that it is a difficult thing to be wrestling with where you stand on this issue and how it will play a part in your life, but my prayers are with you!

Keep hope alive in Jesus' saving grace,
Julie
